'Discreet - The Movie' currently finds itself under the knife of director of wonder, Joshua Rous, as he hacks away at it! Looks like we're on schedule for a 1st cut sometime towards the middle of October.

We will be featured in MENSE magazine next week so look out for that as well as updates on this blog of other recent publicity coverage.

WRAP PARTY WRAPPED!

Thank you to everyone who attended the Wrap Party, it was a huge success!

I must admit that we were very nervous. I mean, Josh had put a lot of work into the trailer and we all thought it looked pretty good, but experience has taught us that in the subjective world of art and film making, you just never know! Fortunately, the response to the trailer was overwhelming and we got to save the prozac for another night. Probably the premiere!

So, now it's on with the show! We are currently busy digitizing all the audio to bring into the editing system. Sound is usually recorded separately from picture so as to capture as high a quality as possible. Once that is done, picture editing will continue and... and... and... We'll keep you updated.

We're off to Pretoria on the 13th to hold another investors evening at C'Nanru Properties Conference Facilities, and then later in the month, on the 28th, we'll be heading down to Cape Town. Thanks to Jo-Ann from APKA for helping us organise these events. AND IT'S A WRAP... !

First off, apologies for the lack of updates to the blogsite but it has taken everybody about a week to catch up with themselves.

To say that the shoot was gruelling would be an understatement. 9 days of night shoots had everybody investigating creative ways to block out the sun in their bedrooms during the day. Black bags, blankets, air travel masks and then there's still trying to work out how to deafen the noise of a world going about it's daily business.

Breakfast at 17:30, lunch at 00:30 and then on the way home, pizza for dinner at 06:30am at Catz Pyjamas in Melville, the only place that's open at that time of the morning. We tried ordering a beer after a long hard day, uh, night but were informed it was only served from 10am. Coffee then. Decaf, please.

Three copies of 1.2 Terrabytes of footage (terrabyte = 1000 gigabytes) are now scattered through Jhb. We are currently waiting for Apple to have stock of their quad-core 2.66 Mac Pro so that we can start editing the footage. Due to the nature of the quality of the footage we have, we need to edit in Premier Pro so as not to lose a generation of quality. So, basically we're going to run Premier Pro in Windows XP Pro on an Apple Mac Pro. We love the irony.

Soon though, we will have a trailer to show the world and you will be the first to see it at our official WRAP PARTY which should take place towards the end of the month. Watch this space for details.

So, tonight, it all starts. Monique's apartment has been 'dressed', cameras have been tested (nerves too) and actors have almost lernt their lines. We will be updating the blog with more information regarding the latest camera technology we are using as well as other details about the production.

Private Investor Presentations

Our second investor presentation at Melrose Arch on Thursday proved to be very successful and more private presentations are planned for the next 2 weeks before we go into principle photography. If you'd like to know more about when and where these presentations will be taking place, please e-mail us on scramble@telkomsa.net.

We also have hard copies of the Business Plan available on request. Should you require some of these to distribute amongst any other interested parties you might know, please send your postal details to scramble@telkomsa.net. A DVD of the showreels is also available for private presentations.

DESIGNER GARMENTS FOR ANEL'S CHARACTER

We are very pleased to announce that designer Colette Palin has come on board to supply Anel's character 'Monique' with wardrobe for the movie. GALA EVENING AT MONTECASINO

28th February 2007

What a tremendous success! Our thanks go out to everyone who supported the evening! We were overwhelmed by the support we received from industry friends and celebrities, press, longsuffering family members and of course all who came to hear about the project and invest in it.

The funds pledged on Wednesday night have catapulted us closer to our R 1 million mark and we are confident that we will secure the entire amount sooner than expected.

Due to the success of the evening, we are having a private investors presentation on Thursday the 15th of March at the Melrose Arch Hotel. Seating is limited to only 20 people.
